One of my first real sets of china was Winfield Green Bamboo. While the Winfield technique was minimalistic and strongly influenced by Asian calligraphy the Weil Ware technique is much bolder. Weil Ware Bamboo is divided into different catagories based on the colour of the rims. Often it is hard to tell which color is in fact employeed when viewing pictures on ebay. In fact when I purchased this set, I did not know if the rim color was green or grey. I was pleasantly surpised to find that it is green.
